No.85 on the RPSI Cu Chulainn Tour at Dundalk & Drogheda + 072 on the Cravens transfer at Connolly.

On Sunday 23rd October 2022 Ex GNR(I) V Class 4-4-0 Compound No.85 Merlin worked the RPSI Cu Chulainn Tour from Dublin Connolly to Dundalk & Return. First we see 85 pulling forward towards the north end of the platform at Dundalk to take on water after arriving from Dublin. Next 85 shunts the cravens from platform 2 to the loop for stabling. Then we get a nice chance to see 2 Generations of Enterprise Traction side by side as 228 departs with the Belfast bound train which was the 12:00 Ex Dublin while 85 stands in the loop. After waiting for the enterprise to clear the section 85 departs on a light engine run to Newry. Next 85 is seen at the north end of the station after arriving from Newry as 206 departs with the 14:00 Ex Dublin. Then 85 passes through platform 1 and runs back to the loop to couple to the cravens. After coupling 85 rolls the train slowly forward to the shunt signal to await for 29108 to arrive into platform 3 before getting the road to pull out of the loop and shunt the train over to platform 1 for departure to Dublin. Next we see the train passing non stop through Drogheda while GM's 073 & 079 are seen stabled on the Navan Branch. Finally at Dublin Connolly we see GM 072 departing with the Cravens bound for Inchicore while 85 follows light engine bound for Connolly Shed.
