El eclipse del siglo

On the evening of August 12th, we will be able to see a total solar eclipse, a magnificent spectacle offered by nature. This lecture will describe the different types of eclipses, their causes, the locations where the eclipse will be visible (whether total or partial), and the precautions to take for safe viewing. We are pleased to welcome Antonio Elipe, Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Zaragoza and Professor of Astronomy for 25 years. He has served as Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Founding Director of the University Institute of Mathematics and Applications, and Founding Director of the University Center for Defense at the General Military Academy. He is President of the Royal Academy of Sciences of Zaragoza, a Fellow of the American Astronautical Society, and a member of the International Academy of Astronautics.
