2024 Ford Escape hybrid review // Hybrids soaring in popularity!

This is a Motormouth couple car review on the 2024 Ford Escape hybrid compact SUV. Last year we had the Escape Hybrid ST-Line with a sport tuned suspension, we found the suspension to be quite firm especially for a hybrid. In our video, we said we were hoping to get the Platinum model to review because it is the only Escape Hybrid model without a sport-tuned suspension. It sure makes a difference; it is much smoother and has no trouble eating up those imperfections in the road. The 2024 Ford Escape hybrid has a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain matched to an eCVT with a combined 192 horsepower. FWD and AWD options are available. You will get almost 900 km and over 550 miles of range to every fill. The 2024 Ford Escape hybrid Platinum model has a less sporty look compared to the ST-Line models with chrome exterior accents, body coloured door handles, Platinum badging, bright 19” wheels and a temporary spare tire. The 2024 Ford Escape hybrid comes standard with an 8” touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto and an 8” driver display. The larger 13.2” touchscreen with navigation is available as is a 12.3” digital driver display. The panoramic sunroof is an a la carte item but it is available on every hybrid trim if you would like to add it. The Escape is missing some features like ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. 2024 Ford Escape hybrid fuel economy is excellent, 5.6L/100 km, 42 MPG city and 6.5 L/100 km, 36 MPG highway. In Canada, the 2024 Ford Escape hybrid starts at ST-Line $41,544 CAD, ST-Line Select $44,644 CAD, Platinum $47,074 CAD and ST-Line Elite $48,574 CAD. In the US, ST-Line FWD $33,490 USD, ST-Line Select AWD $35,190 USD, Platinum FWD/AWD $37,115 USD and ST-Line Elite AWD $39,610 USD.
