Derelict Reeds Humber Bridge Country Hotel by Drone

DJI Mini 4k footage of Humber Bridge Hotel's former and now derelict site on the banks of the River Humber (south bank) near Barton upon Humber. The Humber Bridge Hotel or "Reeds" as it was called at one point, boasted 26 en suite rooms, modern amenities - it was a popular wedding and functions venue. The Hotel, in Barton-upon-Humber, faced a series of unfortunate events. The hotel closed suddenly in June 2021 due to financial difficulties and unpaid debts. The closure left many guests and couples who had booked weddings there in a difficult situation, as they were unable to obtain their deposits back. In July 2023, the hotel building caught fire, resulting in significant damage. The blaze was so intense that thick plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing from the building. Fire crews have since warned the public not to enter the unstable structure due to the extreme danger it poses. The hotel had struggled with various issues over the years, including flooding in 2016 and the financial constraints brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite efforts to turn the business around, the hotel was unable to recover and ultimately closed its doors for good. The site now appears to be on-protected from members of the public visiting although there are obvious health and safety risks present at the site - which remains in a state of collapse.
