El túnel secreto (ya no tanto) del Palacio Real de Madrid
Madrid has a new tourist attraction. The Villanueva Tunnel, also known as the Bonaparte Tunnel, will reopen at the end of 2025, following the renovation carried out by the National Heritage. This vaulted underground passageway was built by order of Joseph Bonaparte during the French invasion to connect the Campo del Moro gardens of the Royal Palace with the banks of the Manzanares River and the Casa de Campo. The Frenchman never used it, but this passageway was used by Alfonso XIII to leave Madrid for exile. ▶️ More videos at http://www.telemadrid.es ▶️ Subscribe: http://telemd.es/m3mfh
