In the late 20th century, the famous Minuet was identified as a section in Christian Petzold’s harpsichord suite, resulting in its attribution to Bach being questioned. Perhaps the biggest challenges in playing Bach’s music are the technical demands of its polyphonic nature, requiring each voice to be considered its own, independent line. Pay close attention to the fingering, so that bass notes can be played with the correct duration.
