VTC News | In a press release issued this morning, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) stated that it has acknowledged information from relevant authorities regarding the investigation into Mr. Dang Ngoc Thao, former Director of P-Lab, a subsidiary of PNJ, for diamond smuggling. The company stated that this is a matter of personal legal responsibility and is being considered by the authorities in accordance with the law. The company respects the investigation process and will not make any statements beyond the information already released by the competent authorities. However, PNJ declared that all diamonds distributed by them are inspected at P-Lab and undergo quality control procedures according to ISO standards. PNJ also affirmed that it has cross-checked the quality standards of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and maintains records to retrieve the technical specifications of each diamond upon request.
