Every fabricator knows that a solid workshop vise is the literal backbone of the shop. So when out heavy-duty Columbian vise finally gave out, it turned into a total workshop nightmare. I can't get any metal shaping or custom fabrication done until this tool is back in one piece. In this video, I’m tearing down the broken vise, diagnosing exactly what failed, and putting my fabrication tools to work to give this classic piece of machinery a much-needed resurrection.
