Henry & Alana: Meet our youth workers, they change lives
This short film features interviews with Henry, one of our youth workers and Alana, one of our case managers, as they talk about what makes youth work so rewarding, what their typical day looks like, and when they really knew they'd made a difference in a young person's life. We have made a difference in the lives of more than 1,800 young people ranging in age from young children to 18 years, who exhibit complex emotional and behavioural problems. Our approach is based on small, stable and consistent teams that build trust with the young person, stabilise their behaviours and give them a sense of hope and direction. By increasing the number of youth workers, we can support more young people in more communities. At Safe Places, it's all about the young people.
