NDC STAKEHOLDERS ADVOCATES SOUTHERN KADUNA GOVERNORSHIP TICKET FOR 2027

Stakeholders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Southern Kaduna have appealed to the party's state and national leadership to zone the 2027 governorship ticket to Southern Kaduna, citing the need for equity, fairness, and inclusive political representation. The Southern Kaduna NDC Coordinator, Pastor Isaac Ango, appealed during a press conference in Kaduna. According to him, other major political parties have historically rotated key political positions among different zones of the state, and zoning the governorship ticket to Southern Kaduna would not only promote justice but also strengthen the party's chances of electoral success in the 2027 governorship election. Ango noted that Southern Kaduna remains a significant political bloc with a strong support base and deserves the opportunity to produce the party's governorship candidate. The stakeholders emphasised that their demand is peaceful, democratic, and aimed at fostering unity within the party. They maintained that zoning the governorship ticket to Southern Kaduna would reflect the political realities of recent elections and align with the aspirations of thousands of NDC supporters across Kaduna State. They further urged the party leadership to consider the principles of inclusiveness and balanced representation as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
