I fished with a black-and-white fish finder for twenty years. I fished successfully. I used my experience, know-how, and depth maps. I almost always returned with decent catches. Outstanding catches were rare, but I almost always saw bites. In recent years, everything has changed. Breeding stock is being hunted using Panoptix and trolling. Panoptix is ​​used to catch pelagic fish (those in the water column). With skillful use of this device, the fish have virtually no chance. Empty fishing trips are becoming more and more common. Old fishing methods are practically useless. (with rare exceptions). So the era of old-fashioned predator fishing is over. I hate to say it, but we need to move forward! Buying a modern fish finder isn't enough. It's a complex device that requires skill and knowledge. You need to buy a new battery, a charger, a carrying bag, a high-quality rod for mounting it on the transom, and much more.
