Part 37 - Highlights of an HO op session with "Friends of the Burlington Northern Railroad" (FOBNR)

If you like running BN green diesels pulling long freight trains, you'll love this "highlights" video from a recent op session on the HO scale Burrlington Northern model railroad layout celebrating and hosting attendees of the annual convention of "Friends of the Burlington Northern Railroad", held not too far from Seattle this year. To commemorate the occcasion, Brian Elchlepp brought over a dozen of his super-detailed BN diesel locomotives, many of which are featured in the video clips, narrated here by Burr Stewart. As a long-standing member of the non-profit historical association FOBNR, Burr was pleased to host this operating session, because much of the information he needed to build and operate his model railroad over the past 35 years has been provided by publications and members of FOBNR (https://FOBNR.org). Burr's train layout is set in the Seattle region in 1973, three years after the 1970 corporate merger that created the Burlington Northern (BN) Railroad out of the Great Northern (GN), Northern Pacific (NP), Burlington Route (CB&Q) and the Spokane, Portland and Seattle (SP&S) railroads. Playing smaller roles on the layout are the three-foot narrow gage (HOn3) D&RGW "west coast extension", the Milwaukee Road (MILW)'s western extension and the Union Pacific (UP). He took the videos with an iPhone X and an AKASO action cam, and edited them in iMovie and Photoshop on a MacBook Pro.
