The King of Tolai Rock, the legend himself Leonard Kania, celebrated 40 years in the music industry at The Cosmopolitan, Port Moresby. The next generation of Barike and Kopex joined the stage to honor his incredible achievement, standing alongside and supporting the “King of Tolai Rock.” PNG’s international reggae sensation Anslom also graced the stage, performing a couple of songs to show his deep respect and support for Leonard Kania. Leonard Kania opened his set with “Suffer Tumas”, a heartfelt song written and sung by his Late son, Junior Leonard Kania. Backed by young dancers from East New Britain dressed in traditional Tolai attire, the performance lit up the stage with vibrant culture and emotion. The crowd harmonized with him in true East New Britain choir style, creating a powerful and emotional atmosphere. Fans from all four regions of Papua New Guinea — Islands, Momase, Highlands, and Papua — came together to celebrate Leonard Kania’s remarkable four decades in music.
