INDIAN POSSE: The gang ruling Canadian prisons
If you ask people around the world what they think of when they hear the terms “American Indian” or “Native American,” you will get different answers in different places. Some will mention films about the Wild West, others will talk about oppression by colonizers, and still others will mention casinos. But probably only in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan would people say that Natives created some of the strongest street and prison gangs in the country. Today, we will examine the history of one such gang, which grew from a group of teenagers meeting in a garage to an organization with hundreds of members. If you are interested in hearing about it, then meet the Indian Posse, on the other side of the law.
