A Private Disc Golf Course Hidden in East Tennessee

This week in East Tennessee disc golf was packed with alternate shot doubles, spicy layouts, course work, and rounds at both Panther Creek and a private family course. 🥏 Monday – Alternate Shot Doubles at Mossy Creek We hosted Hitting Chains Monday Doubles at David W. Barger DGC (Mossy Creek) with a special Alternate Shot Doubles format. Everyone had a great time mixing things up and playing a format that forces teamwork, strategy, and recovery shots. 🌶️ Tuesday – Spicy Layout at Cherokee Park The Vets Disc Golf Club Tuesday Doubles took place at Cherokee Park DGC with another spicy layout. Modified holes, added mandatories, and OB lines completely changed how the course normally plays and made for a really fun and challenging round. 🛠️ Thursday – Kiwanis Work Day We spent Thursday evening helping out at Kiwanis DGC during a course work day. Big thanks to Robert and Isaiah for coming out and helping, along with the gentleman who helps maintain the park day-to-day and assisted us with moving mulch. ⛰️ Friday – Panther Creek Non-Mountain 9 Friday evening we wanted something different, so we headed to Panther Creek State Park DGC and played the Non-Mountain 9 layout. Even playing only nine holes at Panther Creek still takes longer than most full 18-hole rounds elsewhere. It’s a demanding course, but one we definitely want to play more often. 🥏 Saturday – M&M Disc Golf Course (Private Course Round) Matthew invited us out to his family’s private course, M&M Disc Golf Course, where we played alongside Matthew, Boone, Ean, and Blake. It’s a tough but really fun course, and we’re already looking forward to getting back out there again. Afterward, we stopped by Throwmore Morristown while Adam and Blake searched for some discs they were wanting, then finished the day with another round at Frank Lorino Park DGC where we bumped into Seth and he joined us for the round. Ironically, we tried not to film much that round… and ended up missing some really great moments. Will we do a chill no filming round again? We'll see...
