Repertoire: THE BACH CANTATA SCHLEP (2)
This rather dreary cantata has the title "Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein," which I mistakenly pronounce "sich" instead of "sieh," and which means, "Oh God, Look Down from Heaven." The actual text is mostly about suffering and the perversion of God's word (according to Lutheran teaching), but the two arias are lovely and seem to show Bach essentially ignoring the poetry and just writing pretty music, quite understandably. It's your call if you want to deal with this one.
