Anatomy of a Single Spey Cast

When I talk myself through the single Spey cast whether fishing or practicing, I have a different way of describing it then I did early on until just recently. In this video, I talk about many of the aspects of the single Spey, including the lift, sweep, drift into firing position, and forward cast, and in particular the anchor placement as well as the length of the anchor, which ideally, if I’m using a long leader will include only the fly and the leader with very little Fly line only if necessary. I want the lightest anchor possible in order to hit the sweet spot for the perfect cast.
