The next generation of NATO air forces is training in Texas: Young people from 14 NATO countries are practicing together for an emergency at Sheppard Air Force Base. They are tasked with defending the alliance in the event of an air attack. Soldiers from various NATO countries have been coming here for over 60 years. They learn to fly combat aircraft and develop an understanding of the relevance of NATO and international cooperation.
