This is second attempt at benchmarking Minecraft, my previous attempt can be found here:    • Minecraft 1.21.4 comparison - Linux (Bazzi...   Minecraft Version: 1.21.4 Map: Hermitcraft Season 9 Settings: https://pastebin.com/RwJByWey Hardware: CPU: Intel i9-9900K GPU: AMD RX 5700 XT RAM: 32GB Resolution: 1920x1080 Operating Systems: Windows: Windows 11 24H2 Linux: Bazzite 41.20250301.1 Recording Software: Windows: AMD ReLive Linux: GPU Screen Recorder This video is a basic performance comparison between Linux and Windows in Minecraft. I tested using the Hermitcraft Season 9 world download, as it features complex redstone, lighting, and rendering scenarios. In my opinion, this makes it a more representative benchmark compared to simple world generation or TNT explosion tests. The game tested in this comparison is Minecraft 1.24.4, with Forge and the CMDCam mod installed to ensure consistent camera movement along a predefined path. Otherwise, the game remains completely vanilla - no performance mod installed. 00:00 Footage 20:00 Windows F3 screen 20:06 Linux F3 screen 20:12 Results
