On July 10, 2025, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmneier presented a new flag ribbon to the Guard Battalion. Flag ribbons are subject to a certain amount of wear and tear depending on frequency of use and are then replaced with a new one. If a flag ribbon from the operational department and the country of a state guest is available, the respective flag ribbon is attached to the unit flag. The flag ribbons are clearly lined up on the wall of the Guard Battalion Commander's office and are quickly accessible during any deployment. The video shows the unveiling of the military flag, the march-in of the honor guard, the welcome of the Federal President, the Federal President's speech, the presentation of the new flag ribbon, the national anthem, and the march-out of the honor guard. Afterwards, a meeting between the Federal President and the Guard Battalion took place in the garden of Bellevue Palace. However, this was no longer open to the press.
