Pere Marquette 1225: Freedom Flyer excursion
On June 15th, 2024 the Steam Railroading Institute based out of Owosso, MI ran a short excursion to Ashley, MI with the Pere Marquette 1225 known as their “Freedom Flyer” and apart of there 2nd annual “Arsenal of Freedom” event. Join us for this short chase as we document the train along its journey (Clips from the turntable/shop area taken June 14th) There was a lot of hype around this trip as the NKP 765 was also running the same day, although I did not go see that engine.
