It is a subsidiary company of engineering global conglomerate MEIL based at Hyderabad and established its electric bus division in 2015. As of Now, it has supplied 1200 electric buses to various clients such as EVEY Trans, HRTC, ASTC and Fresh-bus etc across India. Presently its operational buses run on the roads of 10 states and Union territories across the country, such as Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Daman & Diu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala and Himachal Pradesh. Mainly it manufactures 4 variants of electric buses such as V2, iX, X2 and CX2 at its two production units. Those units are located at Jadcherla and Patancheru in Telangana. V2 variant is a 7 metres long electric bus used for intra-city operations. iX variant is a 9 metres long electric bus used for intra-city and inter-city operations. X2 variant is a 12 metres electric bus used for intra city, inter city and tarmac operations. tarmac buses are mostly used in airports. CX2 variant is a 12 metres long coach electric bus used for inter city operations. It also manufactured the electric tippers, which are first of its kind electric vehicles in India. Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) is a major infrastructure company headquartered in Hyderabad, India. The company was established in 1989 as a small fabrication unit.
