The First HIGH SPEED Drives in My Senna and Ford GT!

My McLaren Senna and Ford GT are both now run in and ready to go, so how better to celebrate this than a full day of crazy action! As the Senna reaches 1,000km on the clock it's straight onto the German Autobahn for a flat out blast to Spring Event. Things get lively as I'm joined by Jeroen Mul to push both cars out together, before it's then into the GT for a 300km/h sunset drive to to top off the most amazing day. It's an early start to the day at Thornhedge Car Storage, who have been looking after the cars since the IAMS Amsterdam Motorshow. Given I can only drive one car of course, first up is to load the Ford GT into the trailer with AAA Classics to take it to the event. We're also joined by a number of friends including racing driver Jeroen Mul and YouTuber "it's the" CarVlogger for a convoy on the roads to Spring Event. Driving the McLaren Senna first, we finally reach the 1,000km number required for the official run in of the engine, meaning it's time to go and have some fun! Immediately on the very same drive that takes us out to the destricted German Autobahns and despite some traffic, a spurt to 293km/h in a very short stretch. Upon arrival at an exceptionally busy Spring Event we unload the Ford GT to be part of a great line-up including: a Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari Pista, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Porsche GT2 RS and many more fantastic supercars and tuner cars. With thanks to the organisers of Spring Event we then have the amazing opportunity to line up both the Senna and GT together for a few laps on the handling course; with Jeroen piloting the other car to me. Seeing the differences and similarities between the two cars only whets my appetite for what is going to be coming during the rest of this year. Finally we hose both cars down from the totally random snow flurry that came during the afternoon in advance of an Autobahn blast now in the GT as well. With the sun setting the car had no issues at all reaching up to 304km/h with plenty more available in it too. In short, what a fantastic day, a huge thanks to Spring Event, Thornhedge, Jeroen and everybody involved in an unreal day.
