What It’s Really Like Running a Glamping Site in the Summer | The Week that BROKE me!

Welcome back to Crazy Season – our weekly summer vlog series showing the real behind-the-scenes of running a glamping site during peak season! Week 6 was the one that nearly broke me… We started off with a trip to another glamping site to film their safari tents for a future video, and we were SO excited when our new golf buggy charger arrived — only to find it didn’t work. Add in two late-night supermarket emergency runs, too few staff for Friday changeovers, and a mountain of rubbish that got so out of control we had to order a skip (and rope in my sister and brother-in-law to help!)… and you can see why it was a tough week. To top it off, we had a visit from a tourism award judge, which made things even more stressful as we worked hard to make the site absolutely perfect. There were still some bright spots though — including a trip to The Newt in Somerset with Hazel and Emma from the cleaning crew — but by Sunday, it was back to the endless cleaning and changeovers!
