Overcoming Fear and Anxiety | Pray This Daily

Fear is loud, but it is not the Lord. Today, we trade worry for worship and ask God for the peace that guards. In the book of Philippians, chapter 4, verses 6 and 7, it says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.” That word “guard” is military language - peace posted like a fortress. If your chest has been tight and your thoughts racing, pray with me and hand every burden back to the One who carries it. We will interrupt fear with prayer, anchor our minds in the Word, and thank God before the breakthrough. Jesus also says in the book of John, chapter 14, verse 27, that His peace is not like the world’s - so we refuse panic and receive protection.
