Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Hocaefendi, the leader of the İsmailağa community, was laid to rest today following a funeral prayer at the Fatih Mosque following Friday prayers. Following the news of Ustaosmanoğlu's passing, loved ones from across Turkey flocked to the Fatih Mosque. Fatih's largest thoroughfare, Fevzipaşa Avenue, was closed to traffic, drawing tens of thousands of people. President Erdoğan, who attended the funeral ceremony, which left no stone unturned, spoke of Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Hocaefendi.
