গ্রামীণ জনপদের বাসিন্দাদের জীবনধারার অর্থনীতির মূল কেন্দ্রবিন্দু গ্রামীণ হাট। পুরনো দিনের গ্রামীণ ঐতিহ্যকে কাছ থেকে দেখতে মন চায় নয়ন ভরে । আর তাইতো বারবার ছুটে যাই গ্রামের হাটে। এমনই এক গ্রামীণ হাট শিলা বাজার। এটি বাংলাদেশের ময়মনসিংহ জেলার পাগলা থানার মশাখালী ইউনিয়নের মশাখালী গ্রামে অবস্থিত। সাপ্তাহে প্রতি শুক্রবার দিন বিকেল বেলায় এখানে হাট বসে। হাটের দিনে গ্রামীণ জনপদের বাসিন্দাদের মাঝে আনন্দঘন পরিবেশ বিরাজ করে। উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশে গল্প আর আড্ডার মাঝে চলে বেচাকেনা। আশেপাশের বিভিন্ন গ্রামের খেটে খাওয়া কৃষকেরা তাদের উৎপাদিত নানান জাতের শাকসবজি এই হাতি বিক্রি করতে আসেন সপ্তাহিক হাটের দিন। গ্রামীণ জনপদের সেই পুরাতন ঐতিহ্য যেন দিন দিন হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে। আগেকার দিনে বহু দূর দুরান্ত থেকে পায়ে হেঁটে হাটুরেরা এই হাটে আসতো সওদা করতে। হাটের দিনে মাথায় ঝুড়িতে শাওদা নিয়ে গ্রামের আঁকাবাঁকা পথ দিয়ে হাটুরেদের আনাগোনা এখন আর চোখে পড়ে না। সেই পুরনো দিনের স্মৃতিকে বহন করে কোনরকমে এখনো টিকে আছে এই গ্রামীণ হাট। মৌসুম ভেদে ধান, পাট, গম, হাঁস-মুরগি, মাছ-মাংস, দেশীয় নানান জাতের ফল মূল, বিভিন্ন প্রকার টাটকা শাক-সবজি ও নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় প্রায় সকল প্রকার জিনিসপত্র এই হাতে কিনতে পাওয়া যায় কম মূল্যে। যুগের পর যুগ ইতিহাস আর ঐতিহ্যকে ধারণ করে গ্রামীণ জনপদের বাসিন্দাদের জীবনধারার অর্থনীতির মূল চালিকাশক্তি হয়ে এখনো টিকে আছে অপরূপ সুন্দর এই জামিন হাট শিলা বাজার। Rural haats are the focal point of the lifestyle economy of rural township dwellers. The mind wants to see the rural traditions of the old days. And so I ran to the village market again and again. One such village is Hat Shila Bazaar. It is located in Mashakhali village of Mashakhali union in Pagla police station, Mymensingh district, Bangladesh. This market is held here every Friday afternoon during the week. A joyous atmosphere prevails among the residents of the rural towns on the day of the haat. In the festive atmosphere, there are stories and chats. Farmers from various nearby villages come to sell their various varieties of vegetables to these elephants on weekly market days. The old tradition of the rural town seems to be disappearing day by day. In the earlier days, farmers used to come from far away on foot to do business in this market. On the day of the market, the movement of hatureds with baskets on their heads through the crooked paths of the village is no longer visible. Somehow this rural market still survives carrying the memory of those old days. Depending on the season, rice, jute, wheat, poultry, fish and meat, local fruits and vegetables, various types of fresh vegetables and almost all kinds of daily necessities can be bought here at low prices.
