RENAULT RAFALE Full Hybrid e-Tech 200 | HEV SUV-D | PRUEBA A FONDO | revistadelmotor.es

We test the Renault Rafale E-Tech full hybrid 200, an SUV coupé that represents the new era of the French brand. Equipped with a self-charging hybrid engine, this model combines efficiency, innovation, and dynamism like few others in its category. 🔋 Under the hood, we find a powertrain that combines a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder combustion engine with two electric motors and a small-capacity battery, requiring no external charging. Energy management is handled by a clutchless multi-mode automatic transmission, based on a gear architecture similar to that used in Formula 1. In real-world conditions, Renault claims the vehicle can run up to 80% of the time in electric mode in the city, resulting in low fuel consumption and lower emissions. During the test, real-world fuel consumption was recorded at around 5.5–6.0 l/100 km, depending on the road type and driving style. 🧠 We also talk about its advanced onboard technology, including its OpenR system with integrated Google, state-of-the-art driving assistants, and its aerodynamic, aviation-inspired design. 👉 Is this the most advanced hybrid SUV around?
