It is built alongside the Venice Railroad Bridge, and constructed in 1846. This has 2 tracks each way and is still in use. This bridge was named Ponte Littorio in 1933 and at the end of World War 11 it was renamed Ponte della Liberta to honor the end of Fascist dictatorship and of the Nazi occupation
