Sadık Yıldırım, a 60-year-old resident of Bayramaliler village in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, has been raising sheep and goats in the land where he was born and raised for years. Having dedicated his life to animal husbandry, Yıldırım says this profession is both rewarding and quite arduous. Today, Sadık Yıldırım owns 700 small livestock, 70 large livestock, and 700 acres of land. He explains that he has earned a significant income from this business over the years. However, he particularly emphasizes that the job is not as easy as it seems from the outside. "There's money in this business, but it's impossible without hard work," says Yıldırım, adding that young people are no longer interested in animal husbandry. The experienced producer explains that pasture problems are growing every year, stating that mountains and pastures are the most important elements for animal husbandry.
