dex and em | it's worth it. [one day]

in case you don't want to read spoilers: ?????????? Netflix??? David Nicholls????? WHY? I've never cried like that before 😭 this book was all over booktube a couple years ago and I did hear about it here and there, so I did kinda remember it possibly ending sadly.. but what the fork was this?! I still wasn't prepared 😭😭😭 I loved it so much. It made me spiral into the ugliest crying fit of my life and my heart is broken, but it was such a 10/10 show!! Fell in love with Em, fell in love with Dex, fell in love with their story. I especially love the way all these flawed characters were portrayed. Almost every single person in this storyline had their shitty moments and messed up some things, but it never made me hate any of them. My favorite example of this is Sylvie!! Some scenes with her in the middle were pretty rough to watch but in the end, she was there for Dex when he really needed it. Loved it. Same with Ian - I did very briefly have a distaste for him when he went through Emma's stuff and refused to leave, but driving 3h to be there on the anniversary of Emma's death and telling Dex how much she loved him?
