Waste Management of Fort Worth

A couple weeks ago during our most recent trip up to the DFW, we made it a point of spending plenty of time filming in the Fort Worth area. Here is what the bulk of WM Fort Worth’s side load fleet is currently made up of, minus a couple of Amreps that were sent down from California that are not yet in service. The majority of the fleet is ACX ZR, some of which were incredibly fast. They also currently run some rentals and are starting to receive brand new Peterbilt Pythons. Fort Worth was previously being contracted out to both WM and Knight Waste but a few months ago, WM removed Knight from the contract and took full control of it after Knight had numerous service issues. With all the added work from taking over Knight’s routes, WM drivers have incredibly big routes and work late nearly every day. Drivers will typically finish their regular routes around 3-4 and then be sent to help afterwards, being out until at least 6 at night, sometimes later as seen in this video. Everything in this video was filmed in the afternoon and you can also see some night footage that was recorded between 6-7 PM, while the two Pythons at the end were recorded on a Saturday morning doing a Friday route that was not completed. While the fleet may not be the most exciting, Fort Worth without a doubt has some of the coolest and most skilled drivers that can make even cookie cutter equipment extremely entertaining. They also have a number of Green Team guys currently working for them. So sit back, relax, and watch as these fast ZRs and shiny new Pythons knock out Fort Worth’s heavy routes!
