Macau completely surprised us. In this episode, we explore one of the strangest places we’ve ever been — a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China where Portuguese history, ancient ruins, and giant Las Vegas-style casino resorts all exist in the same city. From walking through the historic Senado Square and visiting the famous Ruins of St. Paul’s, to stepping inside the incredible Venetian Macau and exploring the huge modern Cotai Strip, this place felt unlike anywhere else. We also stayed at the iconic Hotel Central and the beautiful Harbourview Hotel, explored local supermarkets full of unusual snacks and Asian favourites, and experienced the bizarre contrast between old-world Europe and ultra-modern China.
