Growing Lettuce - The Definitive Guide For Beginners

Growing Lettuce Is Both Fun And Easy! Lettuce is a powerhouse crop that’s not often given the attention it deserves in our gardens. High in Vitamins A and K, as well as containing valuable folates, iron, and potassium means we should not only be growing tons of Lettuce in our gardens, but the BEST Lettuce. In this video I’ll show you two ways to plant Lettuce: direct seeding and by transplants/plugs. Further to that, I’ll show you how to make your own Lettuce starter plugs as choice and variety at the store is limited, and almost non-existent for fall plantings. In addition, let’s look at planting and growing our Lettuce using a no-till, no-dig style of gardening. Farming in a sustainable way by not disturbing the valuable top layers of soil is both easy (really easy) and just better for your garden. Lettuce grows amazingly well using this method, so I hope you’ll give it a try! 😊 2021 is the Year of the Garden!
