Nick Diaz was then granted a title shot against then champion, welterweight GOAT, Georges St-Pierre, GSP had the longest run-in welterweight history and Georges St Pierre is a 2-time champion in the UFC. However due to controversies in missing press conferences for UFC pay per views, Nick Diaz had his title shot revoked and was then replaced by Carlos Condit. After Nate Diaz’s failed attempt to claim the UFC lightweight title in his 2nd stint at 155lbs. Nate Diaz then had suffered a few losses including a loss to Rafael Dos Anjos. We thought we’d seen the best of Nate Diaz until he fought Michael Johnson and called out Conor Mcgregor. Nick Diaz lost a 5 round decision to GSP and then went on to fight Anderson Silva and lost a decision in the same way, here is where the Nick Diaz light dims a little and Nate Diaz is given a prime opportunity to shine. Nate Diaz fought Conor Mcgregor on 12 days notice at ufc 196 where Nate Diaz defeated Conor Mcgregor and choked him out in Conor Mcgregor’s first UFC loss. He then rematched Conor Mcgregor in a huge Pay Per View at UFC 202 where Nate Diaz fought Conor Mcgregor to a 5 round decision but showed that he was very close to finishing Conor Mcgregor. Nate Diaz then fought Jorge Masvidal for the BMF belt at MSG. It was a huge PPV where Nate Diaz called out Jorge Masvidal most viral, Especially since Nate Diaz had experience huge fights including a 2-fight series with Conor Mcgregor.
