590,000 mile VW TDI balance shaft teardown!
This 2013. Volkswagen Passat TDI came in, it has 589,000 mi, and was getting slightly low oil pressure. there is a common issue on these cars that the oil pump drive shaft will fail, which is what we thought it may have had. But in this case that was not the problem. But replacing the balance shaft, and the oil pump did fix the problem that we had. Enjoy the tear down, and if you need any parts for your VW weather it's a TDI or not, go to Cascade German Parts which is where we purchased this balance shaft from.
