In the last few years the singer could mostly be seen performing in life size events in the gambling city of LasVegas, but ever since his CD Rock Swings - in which eighties and nineties pop and rock songs were subjected to a swing metamorphosis- he's back again. Canadian born, but residing in California for years now, he started his massive career as a teenage idol with hits like Diana and Put Your Head On My Shoulder. As a songwriter he procured countless artists, including Buddy Holly, 'Rat Packer' Sammy Davis Jr and Tom Jones, with beautiful songs. And of course: Anka wrote the lyrics of Frank Sinatra's biggest success My Way. Anka is working on a new CD right now, and at the festival he and his big band will treat us to a foretaste.
