We don't browse the internet — we are browsed by it. Increasingly, algorithms decide the next thing we'll do, and services eliminate all the friction between wanting and getting. But if everything slides toward us and we no longer have to move, is it still possible to feel enthusiasm for things? If our cognition has gone sedentary, how do we get it moving again? And what does that have to do with reconnecting, building communities, and starting to imagine different futures? Born and raised on the internet, Matheus Sodré is a communicator, researcher, host, and screenwriter. Across short-form videos, long-form essays, his podcast (the "lan house," analog conversations about the digital world), and written pieces, he discusses culture, film, fashion, behavior, technology, and the future of things. He holds a degree in Social Communication from ESPM and is pursuing a master's in Creative Media at UFRJ's School of Communication.
