Fear signals of a Horse, what are things to look at to see fear
When a Horse is afraid no training will be able to let the fear go away. Fear is a feeling, and a Horse that is afraid cannot be trained. The first need for a Horse to be trained is to be together with humans and as soon as that basic condition is achieved a Horse can be trained. That is the difference is psychology and training. Most Horse we know have no issues, this is an example of a very badly damage Horse who can only follow his instinctual behavior. It is the part, the basic part of the brain, that tells him " DANGER " and then the respond is to flee. It would be criminal and abuse to train this Horse. The reason why he shows this behavior is because he has been frightened many times and Horses have a very detailed memory. Fear is the first respond from grazing animals and the reaction is to flee. With this Horse its very bad, he lost all contact with his common sense and every time when he almost reaches the common sense a small signal will trigger his panic.
