Wonkiest Swarm EVER March 20, 2026

As humans, we can't read the mind of the bee. One of my backyard hives swarmed and was one of the most challenging swarms I've dealt with in 21 years of keeping bees. There are lots of possibilities but I can't read the bees' minds. One might think that catching a swarm from one's own hive would be truly free bees, but three hours later of actual work with the bees (not including going inside to make myself dinner), I can't say that is how I feel about this one!
