James reviews WWE Saturday Night's Main Event (NYC, July 2026)

This must be the worst WWE Saturday Night's Main Event card on paper WWE has ever produced, but the wrestling and the show itself had as many highs as it did lows. Cody Rhodes and CM Punk vs Gunther and Sami Zayn was the obvious highlight, with the heels looking to be added to the WWE Summerslam 2026 main event. Then there was the bonkers Danhausen match, the pointless Paige/Brie Bella opener, the heatless Bayley vs Lyra Valkeria bout that saw Lyra get busted open and the match nearly called off... and then we got that interminable Roman Reigns/Jalen Brunson/Seth Rollins "main event" segment that just went on forever... also, why did Nick Aldis grant the main event match just to screw over Gunther again?
