Prabowo was greeted upon his arrival by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono. The event began with a symbolic ceremony of removing the curtain from the 31st Air Squadron logo on the aircraft's fuselage, followed by a ritual of pouring water over the aircraft's wheels with wooden ladles.
