Inspection of the Metro Cebu Expressway (MCE) Segment 3A Rehabilitation

City of Naga, Cebu June 22, 2026 Reaffirming the Administration’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure resilience and improving regional connectivity, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the inspection of the Metro Cebu Expressway (MCE) Segment 3A Rehabilitation in the City of Naga, Cebu on June 22, 2026. Following the October 2023 landslide, rehabilitation efforts have been undertaken along the 4.55-kilometer segment from Barangay Pangdan to Barangay Cantao-an. The project includes the construction and rehabilitation of a four-lane asphalt-paved bypass and diversion road to restore safe, uninterrupted access in the area. Once completed, the project is expected to improve mobility and road safety, strengthen transportation resilience during adverse conditions, and ensure reliable access for communities, commuters and economic activity in southern Cebu.
