Andalusia has been looking through the same window for 60 years, on another trip yesterday that ends in France. With September comes the grape harvest, and so many are already being borne by the backs of Andalusian day laborers that their age, rather than in summers, could well be measured in Cabernet Sauvignon harvests. In the towns of Jaén and Granada, the French grape harvest was known as the 'well-paid' one—"blessed exchange from the franc to the peseta," they tell you.
