Earlier this week, member states of the International Criminal Court (ICC) voted to temporarily suspend the court's Chief Prosecutor, Karim Khan, following a series of allegations against him, including allegations of misconduct. Commenting on the decision, Washington-based journalist Abdushakur Aboud said the move demonstrates the member states' commitment to protecting the integrity, accountability and dignity of the court by ensuring that the institution is not affected by allegations that could undermine public trust.
