Troy McMullin, PhD, Research Scientist, Lichenology, Research and Collections, Canadian Museum of Nature Presentation summary: In this presentation, Troy will provide the fundamentals on what lichens are, their ecological functions, human uses, and he will highlight some of the more common and interesting species occurring in the Canadian Prairies. About the Speaker: Dr. Troy McMullin is a Research Scientist in Lichenology at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Canada. His research programs is focused on lichen biodiversity and conservation in Canada. He has published hundreds of articles in popular media and scientific journals along with three books on lichens.
