How to Graft Avocado
A few things I forgot to mention in the video: How to choose good scion wood. I will do a video on this soon. The cambium layer is a thin layer just inside the outer bark of the wood. The cambium layers of the scionwood and the rootstock have to touch in order for the graft to be successful. That is why I put the scion on the outer edge of the rootstock, and not in the middle part of the cut. You know your graft is successful when new leaves start to push and break through the grafting tape. Any growth that grows below the grafting area should be removed. This way the tree can put it's energy toward growing the scion wood. Thanks for watching!
