Missing AZ woman found dead in shallow grave after alleged date | FOX 10 Phoenix

A Glendale homicide investigation is underway after 21-year-old Arianna Jones was found dead in a remote area near Lake Pleasant on July 11, four days after her family reported her missing. Police have arrested 24-year-old Domonic Rodolico and charged him with first-degree murder. Investigators believe the two connected on social media and were on their first in-person date the night she was killed. Detectives used digital evidence, vehicle tracking, and surveillance footage to link Rodolico to the crime. According to court documents, investigators tracked the pair to a movie theater in Glendale and later found two Harkins souvenir cups at the site where her body was buried in a shallow grave.  While the suspect denies involvement and claims they were attacked by two individuals, Glendale Police Department officials state that the physical evidence contradicts his story and shows he visited the remote area several times before they were there together. As the investigation continues to determine a motive and the exact cause of death, loved ones are mourning the loss of the young woman, remembering her as kindhearted and inseparable from her closest friends.
