EGPA, al congresso Eular 2026 i dati sul valore dell’intervento precoce

At the EULAR 2026 congress, an increasingly relevant topic in eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) was discussed: the value of early intervention in the early stages of the disease. Speaking to PharmaStar, Professor Roberto Padoan (Head of the Vasculitis Center at the Rheumatology Unit, University Hospital of Padua; Adjunct Professor at the School of Specialization in Rheumatology, University of Padua) commented on the results of an international study showing that an early approach can be associated, over time, with a greater likelihood of remission, less exposure to glucocorticoids, and less accumulation of damage. This message reinforces the concept of a window of opportunity in this area as well.
