TÉLÉ, DÉFAITES ET SUCCÈS AVEC MARGUERITE ET PICHE

Is winning really what matters on TV? In this episode of Behind the Scenes, I'm joined by two artists who didn't win their shows but have built some of the most impressive careers of their generation on television! Marguerite, who rose to fame on Star Academy in 2024, is nominated for a Victoires de la Musique award and has a gold record. And Piche, an iconic contestant on Drag Race France, is competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics and touring throughout France! We talk about elimination, the freedom it provides (or doesn't provide), media overexposure, the pressure to produce, the doors that open and those that close. Mentors, regrets, and rejections. A frank conversation about what it's really like to build an artistic career after television. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ Marguerite:   / margueritecommelafleur_   Get tickets for the tour: urlr.me/h6dfR5 Piche:   / pichecometrue   Get tickets for the tour: https://bnds.us/crhvsx Olympia, November 24, 2026 Alix:   / alix.grousset   -------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ A quick glossary note: The record label finances the recording of the music, distributes it on streaming platforms, and promotes it. In exchange, it owns the rights and takes a share of each stream or sale. This is the most binding contract, often multi-year, which may include clauses regarding the number of albums to be delivered or the release dates. The publishing house manages the composition rights, lyrics, and melodies. It collects royalties each time the song is played. You can sign with a publisher without signing with a label, and vice versa. The distributor is only responsible for putting the music on streaming platforms, without being involved in the creation or promotion. I'm eager to hear your thoughts in the comments, and especially, tell me what themes you'd like to explore in future episodes ❤️ ------------------- Directed by: Sarah Veysseyre Cinematography: Sarah Veysseyre and Juliette Leignel Sound: Jonathan Hemmem Sound Mixing: William Mazure Project Manager: Fiona Bochatay Coordination: Florie Bodin Animation and Writing: Alix Grousset Opening Credits: Camille Belliard Logo: Solène Delgrange (Nomadgency) Thumbnail: Laura (@_itshoneystudio)
